Cookie Policy

What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use a minimal set of cookies — only what's needed to keep you signed in and to process payments securely. We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral profiling, or third-party tracking.
What we use, exactly
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
psk_session | Keeps the parent signed in to their dashboard. Without this, you'd have to log in on every page. | Session (cleared when you close the browser, or after 30 days of inactivity) | Strictly necessary |
psk_consent | Remembers that you've seen and acknowledged the cookie banner so we don't show it again on every page. | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
| Stripe cookies | Set by Stripe on the checkout page only, for fraud detection during payment. See Stripe's cookie settings. | Per Stripe's policy | Strictly necessary (payment processing) |
What we do NOT use
- No advertising cookies
- No behavioral or cross-site tracking
- No third-party analytics that profile users (no Google Analytics on children's pages, no Facebook Pixel, no marketing pixels)
- No social media tracking embeds
Children and cookies
The cookies above are also used during a child's lesson session, but they store only the parent's signed-in state and the child's age band — no behavioral profiling, no advertising identifiers, and no data shared outside Parker Smart Kids. Cookies that touch children's interactions follow the same COPPA-compliant restrictions described in our Privacy Policy.
How to control cookies
Because we only use strictly-necessary cookies, the service won't function correctly without them — for example, you wouldn't be able to stay signed in or complete a payment. You can still:
- Clear all cookies through your browser settings (this will sign you out)
- Use private/incognito browsing (cookies are wiped at session end)
- Delete your account entirely, which removes all stored data on our side
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We honor this signal where it applies, though our cookies are already strictly limited to operational use only.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add new cookies (for example, an opt-in analytics cookie), we will update this policy and notify users through the cookie banner before the new cookie is set.
