Accessibility Statement
Effective date: April 21, 2026
Advanced Learning Academy LLC is committed to making Parker Smart Kids usable by everyone, including children and parents who use assistive technology.
Standard
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we currently do
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy (one H1 per page).
- Every form input has an associated
<label>. - All images have descriptive
alttext or are marked decorative. - The site is fully keyboard-navigable: every interactive element can be reached by Tab and activated with Enter or Space.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Color contrast of 4.5:1 or higher on body text.
- Lesson decision options use ARIA
role="button"with full keyboard support. - Modal dialogs (certificate celebration) use
role="dialog"and trap focus appropriately. - Skip-to-main-content link available for keyboard users.
- Glossary popovers are activated by keyboard (Enter/Space) and dismissed with Escape.
Known limitations
- Some embedded sample SVGs (e.g., the certificate preview on the landing page) are
decorative and use
aria-labelrather than full text alternatives. The interactive version of the certificate page exposes all data textually.
